Corporate Functions und Shared Competence Center
Our central areas Group Finance, Global IT and Internal Audit have exciting challenges in store for you. They form the basis for our business units and are key to our business success. Our task fields include: IT, Sourcing, HR & Facility Management, Internal Audit, Legal & Compliance, Treasury & Insurance, Finance & Accounting, Controlling, Tax.
Production site Reinheim
Located about 50 km south of Frankfurt am Main, 300 employees in Reinheim produce pharmaceuticals, medical devices and cosmetics – at the highest quality standard and for global demand. After the foundation in 1944, the beginnings were in the blistering and packaging of tablets. Today, the product portfolio also includes semi-solid and liquid moulds as well as syringes. Since 2005, Merz has also been supporting third-party customers with contract manufacturing – from the purchase of various materials and analytical services to developments and market approvals. Our site in Reinheim has established itself as a centre of excellence, particularly in the field of packaging.
Production site Dessau
At the production site Dessau, located in the BioPharmaPark, drugs for neurological and aesthetic treatment as well as medical devices are manufactured. Since the opening of the first production building in 2002, continuous investments have been made to meet the highest requirements in terms of quality, safety and technology. Technically, the site is state-of-the-art and operates according to the highest international standards. Since 2008, a special botulinum neurotoxin has been produced in Dessau, which is used in both neurological and aesthetic medicine. Due to the increasing demand for dermal fillers, another production building for medical products, covering 1,200 square meters over three floors, was built in Dessau in 2018. Currently, around 200 employees work in Dessau.
Pupils and students
At Merz you can start laying the foundations for your future career in form of internships or working student jobs. We also offer a dual study programme in Frankfurt and apprenticeships at our production sites in Reinheim and Dessau.
